Tecnea, majority shareholder in French company Cemafroid, was recently accredited to grant certifications (certificates of competency) via its branch Tecnea Italia.
The Italian accreditation organization, Accredia, granted the 5 year authorization which encompasses certification services of companies installing, servicing or repairing stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat-pump units containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.
Having already issued 5000 certificates in France, the Tecnea group is offering services to Italian regulatory authorities. The Italian environmental code differs from the French one in that it requires accreditation of organizations to ensure levels of competency in implementing F-gas regulations ((CE) 303/2008 et (CE) 842/2006).
For this purpose, Tecnea Italia will work closely with another organization, Centro Studi Galileo which certifies staff responsible for handling refrigerants.
Tecnea Italia is listed in the Laboratory Directory on the IIR website.
