The €1.7m MagFreeG project has just been granted to the French company Cooltech Applications by the European Union through CIP Eco-innovation program.
This project aims to commercialize Magnetic Refrigeration Systems (MRS) within European countries.
The MRS is the first industrialised gas free magnetic cooling system that offers a green alternative to gas compressors for commercial refrigeration equipment such as display cases, beverage coolers, refrigerated cabinets.
The deployment of MagFreeG will help end users (supermarkets, retail stores,…) reach Europe 2020 environmental objectives by significantly reducing carbon emissions as well as providing energy savings and reduced maintenance in stores.
