BOC, subsidiary company of the Linde Group, IIR corporate member, launches its innovative technology in refrigerated transport.
Named FROSTCRUISE, the system uses liquid nitrogen (LIN), stored at -196°C in an on-board insulated tank. Then, LIN passes through a heat exchanger to release its cooling power around the truck’s container. This indirect cryogenic refrigeration system is an environmentally friendly alternative to diesel, reducing 64% carbon footprint compared to a mechanical system. It is also a low-maintenance solution and allows cost efficiencies.
