Impact Factor of the IJR increases for yet another year

As a reflection of the quality of the journal, the Impact Factor (IF) of the International Journal of Refrigeration (IJR) has improved for a consecutive year, increasing by 16% from 2.779 in 2016 to 3.233 in 2017.

The most recently published Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Report measures, among other indicators, the technical and scientific value, international reputation and impact of a journal.

The IF is calculated by Thomson Reuters as a ratio of the citations of a journal in a given reference year to the number of papers and reviews published in the journal in the two previous years. The continual improvement of the IF of the Journal confirms that it is still an essential source for reliable information in the field of refrigeration.

The number of papers submitted to the Journal has been steadily increasing over the years and rose from 551 in 2014 to nearly 900 in 2017.

In total, 336 submitted papers were accepted in 2017, with approximately 63% coming from Asia, 15% from Western Europe, 9% from North America, and 6% from Africa.

Indexation of IIR conferences and congress papers

Since 2014, the IIR has continued to index IIR conference and congress papers in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science (WOS) and this has evidently had an indirect positive impact on the IF of the journal.
