International activities: Sofia
The IIR-co-sponsored conferences CEFood 2006 took place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on May 22-24, 2006. It was the 3rd Central European Congress on Food, but this time, one day was dedicated to refrigeration and the IIR was able to emphasize the role of refrigeration in food preservation. About 180 participants from 31 countries attended . The Director was also able to meet government officials (Vice-Minister and General Director) during his stay in Sofia.
