Israel ratifies the Kigali Amendment
In October 2026, Israel ratified the Kigali Amendment which will enter into force in January 2027.
On October 5, 2026, Israel ratified the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The Amendment shall enter into force for Israel on 3 January 2027.
As a non-Article 5 party of the Kigali Amendment, Israel is required to reduce its HFC consumption by 85% by 2036, compared to its average HFC consumption from 2011 to 2013.
