Johnson to acquire York

Following a USD 3.2 billion transaction in August 2005, Johnson Controls is to acquire York. The combination of York, a leader in the manufacturing and service of heating and cooling equipment with Johnson Controls, an industry leader in the technologies which control that equipment is set to create the largest global provider to the high-margin building services market which also designs and sells integrated controls and HVAC&R equipment. Together, the two companies serve customers from over 500 sales and services offices and reach more than 125 countries with significant potential for growth.
