Member news: Carrier launches a high-temperature heat pump with R290

Carrier introduces its first high-temperature air source heat pump designed for commercial applications, using R290 to enhance efficiency.  

Carrier has launched the AquaSnap® 61AQ, its first high-temperature reversible air source heat pump designed for commercial applications. Optimised for R290, a natural refrigerant with an ultra-low global warming potential of 0.02, this new unit combines high performance, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental impact. 

 

The AquaSnap® 61AQ provides heating up to 75°C even in cold outdoor conditions, operating efficiently down to  –25°C. Its modular design allows capacity extension up to 560 kW, making it suitable for healthcare facilities, residential buildings, and other applications requiring reliable high-temperature heating.
