The Air-conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology Institute (AHRTI) developed a tool to calculate Life Cycle Climate Performance (LCCP), using Microsoft Excel.
The model includes the direct impact of refrigerant emissions, energy consumption during operation, energy required to manufacture and safely dispose of the system and refrigerant. AHRI said that with the correct input, the Excel tool handles different heat pumps, refrigerants, locations and CO2 emission profiles.
