News from IIR members: Alfa Laval
Two major Belgian supermarket chains have recently ordered Alfa Laval's air gas coolers, and three of them have already been installed. Both supermarkets were specifically searching for cooling systems compatible with CO2 to reduce their energy consumption.

The request seems typical of a broader trend across the industry in Europe. The new systems used in Belgium have been built by the Italian manufacturer SCM Frigo, on behalf of Belgian contractor Sabcobel. Alfa Laval has assisted SCM Frigo by designing and delivering the air gas coolers and offering their testing facilities in Alonte, Italy, which include a bunker designed for high-pressure testing.
