News from IIR members: Masterflux from Tecumseh
Tecumseh has unveiled a new line of direct-current (DC) Masterflux compressors in India.
The compressor manufacturer has designed the compressors for battery cooling applications for the growing telecommunications market and also for beverage and marine segments and mobile refrigeration systems on urban and rural markets. The DC range is suitable for solar-powered refrigeration systems, a sector that is poised to expand in the near future.
The compressors are manufactured in India and feature a highly efficient reciprocating compressor, a brushless motor and an additional controller for converting DC power to 3-phase power.
They have both fixed speed and variable speed capability and have been designed to operate under ambient temperatures of up to 55°C. The first compressor in the new series will provide 500 W of cooling capacity.
