News from IIR members: Mayekawa

Mayekawa has supplied 6 Pascal Air units to Fukazawa Reizo's refrigerated fish warehouse in Yaizu, Japan. The Pascal Air units were launched recently and comprise a turbo-type expander, a compressor, a primary cooler and a heat recovery heat exchanger. The system circulates ultra-low temperature (-60 to -120°C) air as refrigerant, achieves 25% higher efficiency compared with classic vapour-compression systems, and reduces CO2 emissions by up to 50%. Mayekawa intends to market the system for semiconductor and medical and pharmaceutical production manufacturing premises. JARN, February 25, 2010. View a video:
