Tecumseh do Brasil has reached a landmark of 170 million compressors manufactured since the company was set up 35 years ago. The company manufactures hermetic compressors and condensing units for domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioners, above all for the American, European, African and Asian markets. With a capacity for 17 million units/year, Tecumseh exports 60% of its production to more than 60 countries, generating around 5100 direct jobs and hundreds of indirect jobs. On March 26, 2009 a special celebration was held to mark the company's 35th birthday.
