Refrigerant news: tax on HFC

In Denmark, the tax on HFC refrigerants was increased recently. This tax, which is directly proportional to the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the refrigerant, now represents 20 € per kg of refrigerant for a GWP of 1000. As an example, for HFC-134a (GWP = 1430), the amount of the tax is 28.8 €/kg and for R-404A (GWP = 3900), the amount is 78.5 €/kg.
