The 15th annual Earth Technologies Forum and Mobile Air Conditioning Summit took place on April 13-15, 2004 in Washington DC.

The annual Earth Technologies Forum conference evolved from the International Conference on Ozone Protection Technologies and the International Climate Change Conference & Technologies Exhibition. It provides a comprehensive programme and exhibition featuring the latest ozone protection and climate change technologies and policies. The three days of conference sessions provided a forum for discussion of current technologies and efforts to bring them into the marketplace. 32 articles were presented and the MAC summit's discussion topics included improving MAC energy efficiency, reducing emissions from refrigerant containers, component and system specifications to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, alternative refrigerant systems and EPA enforcement of service procedures and refrigerant marketing. During the summit, members of a partnership of industry, government and environmental advocacy organizations announced an ambitious collaborative effort to reduce fuel consumption from the operation of vehicle air conditioning by at least 30% and refrigerant emissions by 50%. This summit, bringing together industry, government, academia, and environmental organizations from around the world, may influence policy-makers to reward environmentally friendly efforts.
