The IIR is seeking a Deputy Director

The IIR is seeking for its head office in Paris a Deputy Director, with a scientific and technical background. The candidate should be a very good English and French speaker. He or she will be in charge, with the help of the Scientific and Technical Information Department (STID) and the IIR’s international expertise network, of the writing and proofreading of notes and publications, of the management of European or other research projects.
He or she will assist the Director in the organization of statutory meetings and will replace him if required for various missions.   

Desired education and experience:

•    Scientific and technical training, preferably in the refrigeration sector
•    Experience in internal and external communication and international relations
•    Good writing skills
•    Fluent English and French. English mother tongue would definitely be a plus.

Workplace: Paris, with possible travel abroad

Type of contract: Fixed term contract (French CDD) leading to a permanent contract (French CDI)
