Trane announces contract with Carrefour for 38 stores in Asia

On February 9, 2005, Trane, a global provider of indoor comfort systems and comprehensive facility solutions, won a competitive bid process with Carrefour, the world's second largest retailer, for 38 new stores in China, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. Trane will supply, service and maintain R-123 direct drive centrifugal chillers for five years. According to Trane, these chillers enable significant energy savings; R-123 is a HCFC refrigerant with relatively low Global Warming and ozone Depleting Potentials: GWP of 120 and ODS of 0.012.
