Résumé
General refrigerated storage capacity in the United States totalled 3.32 billion gross cubic feet on October 1, 2007, an increase of 4% since the previous survey was conducted in 2006. While most of the increase was due to new construction, some was due to the increased survey coverage of existing warehouses. The five States with the largest gross general warehouse capacity (million cubic feet) were: California with 412; Florida, 239; Texas, 194; Washington, 191; and Wisconsin, 190. The report can be downloaded from the Web site: www.nass.usda.gov/Publications/index.asp. (See also this Bulletin, references 2009-0487 and 0488.)
