Résumé

Fruits of the cultivar Haden harvested at the green preclimacteric stage and treated with calcium ions by dipping or infiltration in 4-6% calcium chloride solution, were held at 15 deg C and 85-90% relative humidity for up to 20 days. The calcium chloride treatments extended fruit storage life by 7 days compared with the matured controls. No marked differences in effect were observed between the two methods, but dipping is recommended as being easier to apply.
