Résumé
In this trial, the ascorbic acid content in whole Crimor and Kagraner Sommer lettuce, with passive modified atmosphere packaging, was evaluated. Treatments were control (without bag) and passive modified atmosphere with low-density polyethylene and vinyl acetate bags. They were stored for 16 days in a cold room at 8 °C and 75 plus or minus 10% RH, simulating market conditions. Statistically significant differences between cultivars were found, with greater values for the Latin type. Significant differences between control and modified atmosphere packaging were also found.
