Pêches peu sensibles au froid à chair qui ne "fond" pas : potentiel sur le marché des produits frais et à l'exportation.

Low-chill, non-melting flesh peaches with fresh market and export potential.

Résumé

The incorporation of non-melting flesh germplasm into the University of Florida peach breeding programme resulted in the production of low-chill, early ripening, non-melting flesh peaches that ripen 70-110 days from flowering and produce fruits with an attractive red overcolour and moderate acidity for the fresh market. Storage at 0 deg C for 8 weeks resulted in superior long term storage capability and acceptable fruit quality after ripening.
