Résumé

An ammonia refrigeration plant with a secondary water/glycol system generates cooling and heating for a packing station for vegetables and fruits in Osnabrück (Germany). The complex consists of 12 banana-ripening rooms, 2 chill stores for storage of vegetables and fruits and a distribution area. The total mean refrigeration capacity is 813 kW, generated by 5 Bitzer screw compressors. The rest- and super-heat of the refrigeration plant is used for heating of the banana ripening rooms and the offices (floor heating) of the total building.
