Summary

A MODEL OF AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN HEAT PUMP IS DESCRIBED, CONSISTING OF SUBMODELS OF THE SINGLE COMPONENTS. IT LENDS ITSELF TO CALCULATION OF THE CONSUMED AND DELIVERED POWER FOR DIFFERENT INPUT VARIABLES AND HEAT PUMP DIMENSIONS. RESULTS OF CALCULATIONS, SHOWING THE POWER TRANSFER WITHIN EVAPORATOR AND CONDENSER, THE CONSUMED MOTOR POWER AND TEMPERATURES WITHIN THE SYSTEM, ARE EXPLAINED. RESULTS OF CALCULATIONS AND MEASUREMENTS DIFFER LESS THAN 2% OF THE CALCULATED VALUE, WHEREAS STANDARD DEVIATION IS ABOUT 4%.
