Summary

COMPRESSION HEAT PUMPS WITH ELECTRIC DRIVES WHICH ARE OF IMPORTANCE FOR THE PRESENT AND FUTURE ARE USED AS AN EXAMPLE TO DEMONSTRATE HOW EFFICIENCY CAN BE ENHANCED. THE MOST EXTENSIVE RESERVES LIE IN THE OVERALL PROCESS CONTROL TO ENSURE ECONOMICALLY FEASIBLE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE HEAT SINK (HEATING TEMPERATURE) AND THE HEAT SOURCE. THE DIFFERENCE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 35 K. THE AUTHOR STATES POSSIBLE PRIMARY ENERGY SAVINGS AND OVERALL COSTS DEPENDING ON THE HEATING TEMPERATURE.
