A CONVENIENT METHOD TO MEASURE VERY SMALL HEAT CAPACITIES AT LOW TEMPERATURES (0.06 TO 3 K) IS DESCRIBED. IT ALLOWS THE DETECTION OF HEAT CAPACITIES OF LESS THAN 1 NANOJOULE/K AT 0.1 K. THE EQUIPMENT IS CHECKED BY MEASURING A SMALL AMOUNT OF COPPER WHOSE HEAT CAPACITY IS FOUND TO AGREE VERY WELL WITH OTHER WORK.
