Author(s) : CRUZ URIBE A., TREFNY J. U.

Type of article: Article

Summary

DISCUSSES A HEAT PULSE TECHNIQUE FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS DETERMINATION OF SPECIFIC HEATS AND THERMAL DIFFUSIVITIES OF THIN FILM SAMPLES AT LOW TEMPERATURES. PROVIDES CORRECTION FORMULAE TO ACCOUNT FOR VARIOUS DEPARTURES FROM IDEAL EXPERIMENTAL CONDITIONS. ANALYSES THE LIMITS OF THE TECHNIQUE AND SUGGESTS THAT SMALL 0.1 J/K HEAT CAPACITIES CAN BE MEASURED. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 17, N.6, 1982, 21, 82-01953.
