A COMPUTER SIMULATION OF HIGHER FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS OF A RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR.

Author(s) : ISHII N.

Summary

IT IS WELL KNOWN THAT ONE OF THE CAUSES FOR THE VIBRATION OF A RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR IS DUE TO THE CRANKSHAFT. THIS LEADS TO THE POSSIBLE SIMULATION OF THE HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRATION BY A MODEL OF ELASTIC VIBRATION OF THE CRANKSHAFT. THE STUDY DEALS WITH THE VIBRATION OF A SMALL RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR BY PRESENTING SIMULATION DATA FOR HIGH FREQUENCY VIBRATIONS CAUSED BY THE FIRST-ORDER TORSIONAL VIBRATIONS OF THE CRANKSHAFT. THE CALCULATED DATA AGREE WITH TEST RESULTS.
