IN A SIMULATION MODEL FOR MULTICYLINDER RECIPROCATING REFRIGERATING COMPRESSORS THE FOLLOWING CONCEPTS HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED: REAL GAS PROPERTIES ; HEAT TRANSFER BETWEEN THE GAS AND THE CYLINDER WALL DURING THE WORKING PROCESS ; HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER BETWEEN THE SUCTION GAS AND THE GAS IN THE CLEARANCE VOLUME ; HEAT TRANSFER BETWEEN THE GAS AND PLENUM WALL ; GAS LEAKAGE THROUGH THE CLEARANCE BETWEEN PISTON RING AND THE CYLINDER WALL ; AND PRESSURE VARIATIONS IN THE SUCTION AND DISCHARGE PLENUMS.
