Author(s) : HAYEZ A. R.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE APPARATUS DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL PUMPS AND HAS NO ELECTROMECHANICAL PARTS TO WEAR OR BECOME TROUBLESOME AT LOW TEMPERATURES. THE NITROGEN CONSUMPTION IS NO MORE THAN A THIRD OF THAT OF OTHER CURRENTLY AVAILABLE TECHNIQUES. SEVERAL SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS ARE ILLUSTRATED BUT COOLING BLOCKS TO SUIT OTHER TYPES OF SAMPLE COULD BE EASILY AND INEXPENSIVELY MACHINED.
