Summary

The paper describes a simple device that prevents air-side fouling of the condensers of small refrigerating machines, removing the dirt by means of a suitable system of brushes. The owner of the patent asserts that the use of this device results in energy savings of the order of 25%; this would be supported by some tests performed in public research laboratories in Italy. An economic evaluation of the investment shows that there is a favourable return on capital. E.F.
