Summary
Presentation of a fast magnetic-suspension train project called the "Lincar Chuo Express." This train is to run between Tokyo and Osaka, a distance of 550 km, and the journey time will be reduced by 1 hour; the Nozomi train used at present covers the distances in 2 h 32 min. A double link will be set up and the journey between the two cities will remain possible even after an earthquake. The article above all focuses on the financial aspects (the main obstacle to overcome) and the setting-up process envisaged for the project.
