Summary

A METHOD FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF REFRIGERANT LOSSES FROM REFRIGERATOR UNIT BY INTEGRAL TEST IS BASED ON THE DETERMINATION OF THE LINEAR INCREASE OF THE COOLING AGENT CONCENTRATION ON TIME. TESTED REFRIGERATOR UNIT IS PLACED INTO A SPECIAL CHAMBER. REFRIGERANT LEAKS FROM THE UNIT INTO THE MEASURING CHAMBER, WHEREFROM IT FLOWS VIA A CLOSED CIRCUIT TO A SENSITIVE DETECTOR. THE VALUE OF THE SLOPE OF DEPENDENCE MEASURED IS RELATED TO THE MAGNITUDE OF THE LEAKAGE. PERMEATION TUBES WERE USED AS STANDARDS FOR CALIBRATION OF R11 AND R12 CONCENTRATIONS.
