Summary

A NEW CONTINUOUS ADIABATIC PLATE TYPE CALORIMETER BASED CONSTANT HEATING RATE HAS BEEN DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED TO MEASURE THE THERMOPHYSICAL PROPERTIES SUCH AS SPECIFIC HEAT AND THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY IN SOLID AND LIQUID STATE AND LATENT HEAT. MEASUREMENTS OF THE PROPERTIES OF WATER, GLYCERINE AND SODIUM SULFATE SHOWED THAT THE DATA OBTAINED AGREE WELL WITH THAT OF THE REFERENCE BOOKS. THE ERROR OF THE APPARATUS IS ANALYSED.
