Summary

THE I-V CHARACTERISTICS AND THE DISTRIBUTIONS OF POTENTIALS OF PAIRS AND QUASI-PARTICLES ALONG THE CURRENT HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTALLY INVESTIGATED ON WIDE SUPERCONDUCTING FILMS WHICH ARE IN A DYNAMIC MIXED STATE, UNDER NEAR-ISOTHERMAL CONDITIONS. THE WIDE FILMS, WHEN IN CERTAIN CRITICAL CONDITIONS DUE TO NON-LINEAR PROPERTIES OF MOVING VORTICES, PROVE TO BE UNSTABLE TO THE FORMATION OF PHASE SLIP LINES WHOSE STRUCTURE IS SIMILAR TO PHASE SLIP CENTERS IN NARROW CHANNELS. THE DESIRABILITY OF GENERALIZATION OF THE PHASE SLIP CENTER THEORY TO THE CASE OF ARBITRARY WIDTH FILMS IN A MAGNETIC FIELD WITH ALLOWANCE FOR THE SPECIFIC FEATURES OF VORTICES MOVEMENT IN THE REGION OF QUASI-PARTICLE SPECTRUM BRANCH UNBALANCE IS STATED.
