MODERN PASSENGER TRAIN CARRIAGES CALL FOR VENTILATION EQUIPMENT ENABLING, AT THE SAME TIME, SPACE COOLING. IN ORDER TO MEET THE DIFFERENT NEEDS, A SET OF MODULAR AIR CONDITIONING UNITS HAS BEEN PRODUCED, INCLUDING, AS A FIRST STEP, AN UNDERSLUNG AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FOR PASSENGER TRAIN CARRIAGES. IT IS A TRIPARTITE SYSTEM, THE COMPRESSORS AND CONDENSER FANS OF WHICH ARE POWERED BY THREE-PHASE MOTORS. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF HUMIDIFICATION, ANY AIR TREATMENT PROCESS CAN BE PERFORMED IN THE AIR TREATMENT UNIT. THE REFRIGERATING CAPACITY IS CONTROLLABLE IN THREE STEPS.
