Summary

THE AUTHORS STUDY A MODEL OF EMBEDDED POROUS HEAT EXCHANGER FOR HEATING THE WATER FROM A HEAT PUMP EVAPORATOR. THIS HEAT PUMP TAKES HEAT FROM A LOW FLOW RATE GROUND WATER SOURCE. THE MODEL AGREES WITH TEST DATA, SHOWING THAT A POROUS EXCHANGER MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO USE SOURCES WITH LOW FLOW RATES. THE COOLING ISOTHERMS OF THE GROUND AROUND THE EXCHANGER ARE MODELLED AND THE NATURAL THERMAL RECOVERY OF GROUND IS STUDIED.
