Summary

IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE EFFICIENCY OF AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM SUPPLIED WITH AIR AT FLOOR LEVEL, THE AUTHOR DEVELOPED A NEW KIND OF AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM DELIVERING AIR THROUGH A LONG SLOT ENCLOSING THE HEAT SOURCE ON THE FLOOR. BY WAY OF A DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS AND MODEL TEST, HE SHOWS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FACTORS WHICH INFLUENCE HEAT DISTRIBUTION AND PUTS FORWARD AN EMPIRICAL FORMULA WHICH SHOWS HOW MUCH HEAT WILL ENTER THE OCCUPIED SPACE.
