A rich solution pump for absorption cycles.

Summary

A new prototype rich solution pump was designed and successfully operated with results almost identical to those of market available metering membrane pumps. This pump is described. While writing the paper the VR 350 prototype is ending the first 800 hours of life test with no changes in the performances but a slight increase for the energetic efficiency, due to the correct bedding of the rotating seals. This kind of pump allows pumping of saturated liquid without subcooling, and is particularly suited for absorption machines.
