Type of article: Article

Summary

THE EFFECT OF FROST DEPOSITION ON HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER WAS INVESTIGATED BOTH THEORETICALLY AND EXPERIMENTALLY IN A FINNED TUBE TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER UNDER FROSTING CONDITIONS. A METHOD FOR PREDICTING THE EFFICIENCY OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER WAS PRESENTED BASED ON A UNIFORM FROSTING MODEL. THE PREDICTED RESULTS WERE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA OBTAINED UNDER THE CONSTANT AIR FLOW RATE AND CONSTANT REVOLUTION NUMBER OF BLOWER.
