Summary
The phenomenon was simulated in a lab with an experimental system and useful information concerning ice behavior down to -100 deg C was obtained. This paper describes the experimental installation and presents the results arrived at for various ice temperatures and a thermal gradient of 82.5 K/m in the gaseous atmosphere.
