A TEST FACILITY FOR MEASUREMENT OF SOLUBILITY, VISCOSITY AND MISCIBILITY OF OIL/REFRIGERANT SOLUTION AT CONDITIONS RELEVANT TO REFRIGERATION CYCLES.

Summary

THE FACILITY INCLUDES A TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED PRESSURE VESSEL, AN AUXILIARY FLOW LOOP FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF VISCOSITY AND DENSITY, AND A SEPARATE INSTRUMENT ARRAY OF SEALED CHAMBERS IN A BATH FOR LOW TEMPERATURE STUDIES. RESULTS FOR R22 IN A 150 SUS NAPHTHENIC OIL ARE REPORTED OVER THE TEMPERATURE RANGE OF -40 TO 150 DEG C.
