A test stand and performance of a compressor for the transcritical carbon dioxide cycle.

Author(s) : PITLA S., HUANG Y., SUD L., et al.

Summary

The pressures associated with the transcritical cycle of carbon dioxide are extremely high and hence a special test apparatus has to be designed. A test stand for carbon dioxide has been designed and built to evaluate the performance of a transcritical cycle carbon dioxide compressor. The test stand employs a short transcritical cycle to test the compressor. The design and some experimental data is presented.
