Summary

As a result of the analytical work in the rectangular heat conduction field, the quasi-theoretical solutions of Stefan's problem for the phase change front movement and the transient temperature distribution have been obtained, and in addition one of the key parameters is a newly introduced, non-dimensional heat transfer factor (convective heat transferability vs. latent heat capacity), which can indicate acceleration of phase change and a difference with respect to Stefan's solution.
