A theoretical study of a revolving vane compressor.

Author(s) : TAN K. M., OOI K. T.

Summary

Recently, a new rotary compressor, namely revolving vane compressor, has been introduced. This paper aims at introducing the design, working principles and performance characteristics of two different revolving vane compressor designs. The required torque, frictional loss and mechanical efficiency are compared and discussed. In addition, suggested guidelines in determining a suitable configuration of revolving vane compressor for a specific application are also presented.
