Summary
A SIMPLIFIED METHOD PREDICTING DYNAMIC AIR TEMPERATURES IN UNCONDITIONED BUILDINGS AND DYNAMIC SENSIBLE HEATING AND COOLING ENERGY REQUIREMENTS IN CONDITIONED BUILDINGS, IS PRESENTED. IT IS FAST, HIGHLY INTERACTIVE AND EXTREMELY EASY TO USE. THE PAPER BRIEFLY DISCUSSES FEATURES OF THE THERMAL MODEL, IMPORTANT ASSUMPTIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS WELL AS THE SOLUTION TECHNIQUE. A VALIDATION STUDY OF TEMPERATURE PREDICTIONS IN 42 CASE STUDIES, COMPRISING OFFICE BLOCKS, SHOPS, SCHOOLS, RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, TOWNHOUSES, FACTORIES, AGRICULTURAL BUILDINGS AND EXPERIMENTAL BUILDINGS IS GIVEN.
