A WIND COOLED CONDENSER FOR REFRIGERANTS.

Author(s) : ROMIJN J. G.

Summary

A CRITICAL LOOK AT THE COST OF POWER CONSUMPTION HAS LEAD TO A STUDY OFTHE MOST COST EFFECTIVE SIZE OF CONDENSER VENTILATORS. IT HAS RESULTED IN A CONSTRUCTION WITHOUT VENTILATORS ON AIR-COOLED CONDENSERS BETWEEN 20 AND 1,000 KILOWATT OF HEAT REJECTION. THE SIMPLIFICATION, THE TOTAL ELIMINATION OF NOISE ANDOF MAINTENANCE COST AND THE SAVING OF ELECTRIC ENERGY ARE THE REASONS FOR THE SUCCESS OF THIS CONCEPT. THE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE WIND COOLED CONDENSER IN RELATION TO WIND VELOCITY, WIND DIRECTION AND FREQUENCY IS DISCUSSED TO CLARIFY THEECONOMIC ADVANTAGES.
