Absorption cooling with cogeneration.
Author(s) : TOZER R. M., JAMES R. W., MIGUEZ-GOMEZ C.
Summary
An analysis of absorption chillers applied to cogeneration systems was carried out by using exergy as a method of energy costing. The overall performance of the double-stage steam-fired absorption chiller was found to be similar to that of the combined steam turbine driven compressor with a single-stage steam-fired absorption chiller. The practical disadvantage of the latter is that it consists of three different types of plants.
