ACCURATE HEAT-TRANSFER MEASUREMENTS FOR CONDENSATION OF A REFRIGERANT ON LOW-FIN TUBES.

Author(s) : BRIGGS A., WEN X. L., ROSE W.

Summary

THE PRESENT WORK REPORTS NEW MEASUREMENTS, IN WHICH THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF FINNED TUBES IS MEASURED DIRECTLY, AND THE HEAT FLUX IS DETERMINED WITH VERY HIGH ACCURACY. CARE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THE DATA ARE NOT VITIATED BY EFFECTS DUE TO THE PRESENCE, IN THE VAPOUR, OF NON-CONDENSING GASES THE RESULTS ARE BELIEVED TO BE THE MOST ACCURATE AVAILABLE TO DATE.
