Active silencers for ventilation systems.
Aktive Schalldämpfer für Absauganlagen.
Author(s) : LEISTNER P., CASTOR F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The operating principle of active silencers is based on an acoustic resonance system, the attenuation of which can be increased and adapted with respect to the frequency range by electro-acoustic feedback structures. Using these compact cassettes in ducts and at air inlets, the fan noise at low frequencies is reduced significantly with a minimal silencer length.
