Activity report of the team: Engineering of solid-gas reactions used as energy sources.

Rapport d'activité de l'équipe : Génie des réactions solide-gaz utilisées à des fins énergétiques.

Author(s) : CNRS

Type of monograph: Booklet

Summary

Solid-gas reactions are the basis of thermochemical transformers, which are used for managing and storing thermal energy. The objective of this study was to solve the problems of heat intake and extraction in reactive granular media, and more particularly in anisotropic composite media. It focused on the selection of reactive agents according to thermodynamic, energy and kinetic criteria, as well as on the analysis and modelling of heat and mass transfers in reactive isotropic and anisotropic consolidated porous media, and on the analysis of complex thermodynamic systems.
